Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

As you step off the plane at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, get ready to embark on a journey like no other. After a warm welcome, you'll be whisked away to your hotel in Arusha for a relaxing overnight stay. If your flight arrives early, the adventure begins right away with a beautiful view of Mt Kilimanjaro, and an optional city tour. Explore Arusha’s vibrant Maasai market, uncover treasures at the Cultural Heritage Centre, and soak in the lively atmosphere of the city.
Day 2: Safari Kickoff – Tarangire National Park
After a delicious breakfast, your guide will collect you from your hotel, and the safari begins! With a packed picnic lunch, head to Tarangire National Park, known for its magnificent elephants and unique tree-climbing lions. The Tarangire River, winding through the park, attracts a plethora of wildlife including zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and hippos. As you lunch by the river, take in the panoramic views of the Tarangire plains and the ancient baobab trees, some standing for over 8,000 years.
Day 3: Into the Rift Valley – Lake Manyara National Park
Start your day with an 8 AM pickup for a breathtaking journey across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Despite its small size (205 sq miles, 531 sq km), this park is a haven of diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. Marvel at the lush acacia forests, giant fig trees, and the thriving populations of baboons and blue monkeys. Keep an eye out for giraffes, elephants, impalas, and buffaloes. Day 4: The Legendary Serengeti
After an early breakfast, set off for the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey is long but spectacular, leading you to the iconic endless plains. As you venture deeper into the park, you’ll understand why Serengeti means “endless plains” in the local language. This vast landscape is home to the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes traverse the land. Day 6: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater
Prepare to be amazed as you journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. This massive caldera, with its 2,000-meter-high walls, is a microcosm of East African wildlife. The crater floor teems with animals, including the rare black rhino, elephants with massive tusks, and a variety of predators. After a thrilling morning of wildlife viewing, ascend the crater walls and head to your next accommodation.
Day 7: Fly to Zanzibar – Tropical Bliss Awaits
After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight to the tropical paradise of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, a driver will take you to your hotel, where you can unwind and soak in the beauty of the island. Zanzibar, the jewel of the Tanzanian archipelago, offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and relaxation.
